Work together

Employers interested in finding opportunities for work on projects funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA or Recovery Act) have a new resource at Recovery.org. The site was launched on March 31, 2009 by public company Onvia, which has tracked government spending since 1996. The company developed Recovery.org to assist employers in finding projects specifically using Recovery Act money.

Recovery.org contains a comprehensive and searchable list of current and upcoming Recovery Act projects broken down by location or by project type.  The website also directs employers and businesses to the types of projects, grants, contracts and awards that best fit their company’s abilities, resources and experience.

Employers can utilize the Economic Stimulus information on Recovery.org and Monster’s Employer Resource Center in tandem. In addition to offering suggested practices and guidance for employers, Monster’s Resource Center contains a sample of the different types of funding opportunities available under the ARRA. Recovery.org expands on the funding information aggregated by Monster and provides interested employers with a thorough list of project opportunities of all sizes and dollar amounts.

Used together, the two sites present employers with the resources and knowledge they need to identify the opportunities that are the most appropriate for their businesses, including the specific information and contacts to actually bid on projects or apply for grants or contracts.
