Department of Labor to Provide $100 Million in Grant Opportunities
June 26, 2009: The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, will provide approximately $100 million in grants to fund training and placement services in the energy efficiency and renewable energy industries.

Ohio Invests Stimulus Funds in State Energy Program
June 26, 2009: The US Department of Energy has approved a Ohio’s proposal for use of $38 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds for the State Energy Program. The funds are to be used to increase the production and use of renewable energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create green jobs.
Over $3.5 million will also be spent to develop and refine "new energy" portfolios (including renewables, biofuels, smart grid technology, etc.) For specific application guidelines, loan structures, timelines and updates for the state energy program visit recovery.ohio.gov.
Initiatives in Ohio's State Energy Program will:
- Develop renewable energy in Ohio
- Make energy efficiency work
- Target industry efficiency
- Invest in new energy financing
